What are your hours?
You can typically access the gym from 8am to 10pm. It is preferred that you let us know that you are coming, so we can know who is in the gym. There is a YALE lock on the entry door. You may be given an access code to enter with special permission. *Airbnb guests can access the gym at any hour during their stay.

Is it really free?
Yes, it really is free. We don't want your money. The only requirement for being here is filling out the liability release and is a requirement for anyone entering the gym.

Can I bring a friend?
I hope so. We built this space for developing meaningful friendships. Make sure friends fill out the liability release first thing and hopefully I can meet them. If not, let me know you're bringing a new friend..

What are the rules?
Respect Others
No shoes on the trampoline or silks, they are expensive
No walking, running, or climbing under someone climbing
No N words or F words or B words in your music
The autobelay is only to be used with permission and special safety training
The woody roof is only for certified sport climbers to climb on
No leaving messes or trash around
No throwing things off the boulders

Drinking water is permitted on the mats but please no food

Can I borrow climbing stuff?
We do have a collection of 80 pairs of shoes from kids size 13 to adult 15 and chalk. Our family has a special cabinet for shoes and chalk that is just ours.

Can I bring a birthday party or scout troop?
No. This is our home. We are not hosting other people's parties. Not in the airbnb or other occasions. Go to local commercial gyms and book your events. Our greatest suggestion is Climb Time. We also climb there.

Can I bring my family?
Of course. Friday night climbing (every Friday from 8:30p until we are done) is the only exclusively adult time. Any other time fill out the liability release, follow the rules, be respectful and ideally send us a message ahead of time.

Can I get kicked out?
Yep. It's a house. If you don't follow rules and you're being disrespectful you should plan on it.

Do you have cameras?
Yes they are very nice and expensive. You are monitored all over in the gym. We don't sit around and watch the cameras but they are recording and can be easily accessed by our family.

Do you accept donations?
Nope don't give us money. If you have extra climbing holds you want to give us, go ahead. Some drinks for the fridge -by all means. If you give us money, we will give it away to the charity we support.

Is there an orientation?
If plausible, unless otherwise stated, I would personally like to meet everyone coming into use the home gym. I'm pretty available and if it's not convenient I am almost alway at the Friday Night Climbing Event on a weekly basis for meeting new people.
